KIDS from Burntisland have welcomed the news that a local playpark is to be refurbished thanks to funding from Fife Environment Trust and Fife Council.Burntisland Community Council applied for the funding to help refurbish the West Links play area, known locally as the "Spider Park."

The Community Council talked to local children to find out what they would like in the newly refurbished park, and their ideas have been included in the new design.

Work on the park should begin in April, and it is hoped that it will be in use by May this year.
